Cassop
Cassop is a village located in County Durham. Cassop historically was a mining village but this decreased as the mines closed down over the last 30 years. Cassop was originally called Cassop-cum-Quarrington Hill but moved pulled away during the 19 th century. There is a mixture of historical and modern buildings in Cassop and the population is considered to be about 500 people.

The landscape of Cassop is divided into large untouched fields which are surrounded by trees. The houses which are built in Cassop appear to be close together compared to the landscapes that surround them, the only open spaces which are located close to these houses are the gardens.
