FAQ - Chloe's Canine Care

Q. If I go on holiday and leave my dogs at home, can you walk them?
Unfortunately, not it is a requirement for you to have in place a suitable environment for your pets to be cared for. It is against the law to simply leave your dogs at home without supervision whilst you go away.

Q. Will I meet my new dog walker before the walk?
Yes of course, we will always visit you and your pet to see if we are all a good match.

Q. Do you offer upgrades or extensions to the walk?
Of course, we are very flexible as long as you contact us as soon as possible.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?
Please see our Terms & Conditions to see Cancellation/Termination policy.

Q. What do you do in case of emergency?
I am pet first aid trained, but anything major I would call you (the client) to discuss the situation and to sort out the best plan of action. If you cannot be reached and medical attention is required, your pet would be taken to the vet designated by you or the nearest to our current location.

Q. What security measures do you have?
Your key will be kept secure and away from personal information and no key can be identified to any property, in the event of your key being lost or stolen we will advise you the instant we find out, also your personal information will never be sold or discussed with any 3rd parties. We are bound by the Data Protection Act.

Q. Do you have first aid training?
Yes!

Q. How long are walks?
Group walks are 60 minutes walking time. The total time from pick up to drop off will vary though.
Solo Walks are 60 minutes actual walking time plus pick up and drop off time. They can be fully customised to your liking.

Q. How many dogs are per group?
A group walk is a minimum of two dogs and a maximum of four.

Q. Where do you walk?
The nearest, safest area to you that your dog can have a great time, we do not believe in having dogs in a van for longer than is necessary.

Q. My dog has never walked in a group before. Is this OK?
Yes, it is! We would make sure that it was gradually socialised with any other dogs. Or you can book a solo walk if you prefer.

Q. What age can my puppy join you?
After your puppy is about six months old is normally fine.

Q. Do I have to be at home when you collect my dog?
Not at all – in these instances, you’re more than welcome to leave a key with me or even set up a lockbox on your property. We will arrange all of this on the introductory visit.

Q. How can I trust you with my house keys?
I have undergone a Criminal Background Check, and any keys that I keep in my possession are locked away in an with no identification to your property. I am also fully insured (including public liability insurance).

Q. How many dogs do you walk at a time?
I walk a maximum of 4 dogs at any one time depending on size. If you’d like your dog walked on a 1-on-1 basis for whatever reason, please feel free to contact me and I’d be more than happy to tailor to your needs.

Q. Do bitches that are in season still get walked?
Yes, however, this would require some special arrangements. For more information, please feel free to contact me.

Q. Do you do pet sitting and what does it involve?
Pet sitting can involve a range of things – sometimes you may just want me to pop into your house and check-up on your pets, refill any food/water bowls and let them out into the garden; other times you may want me to look after your pets and keep them company for longer while you’re out of the house; it’s up to you what you’d like me to do!
